Early Access - Custom Fields

Our new "Custom Fields" feature allows you to store additional information internally on Candidate Profiles and on each Job. Please note this feature is still in development and only enabled for a small group of existing customers. Custom Fields will be released to all JazzHR customers at the end of March 2020.

Create Custom Fields under Settings > Templates to make them available to fill in on each Candidate Profile and/or Job by default. To get started:

Create Custom Fields

To start creating custom candidate fields in JazzHR:

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Navigate to Templates.
  3. Select Internal Custom Fields.
  4. Click +Add Candidate Field.
  5. Name the Custom Field Name and select the field response type.
  6. Click Add This Field.

To start creating custom job fields in JazzHR:

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Navigate to Templates.
  3. Select Internal Custom Fields.
  4. Click +Add Job Field.
  5. Name the Custom Field Name and select the field response type.
  6. Click Add This Field.

Enter Custom Fields on the Candidate Profile

  1. Navigate to the Candidate Profile.
  2. Scroll to the Full Profile.
  3. Click Edit Profile.
  4. Enter in the candidate-specific custom fields.
  5. Click Save.

Enter Custom Fields on a Job

  1. Navigate to a Job.
  2. Locate Custom Fields on the right column of the page. 
  3. Click the pencil icon next to the custom job field.
  4. Enter the custom field response.
  5. Click Update My Job.

FAQs

Can I report on my custom fields?

You will be able to run reports using the custom fields once the full feature is released! This early release will not have custom reporting features. 

Who can enter/edit the custom field on the Candidate Profile?

Super Admin, Recruiting Admin, and users with access to edit the Candidate Profile can enter and edit custom fields.

Who can enter/edit custom fields on a Job?

Super Admin, Recruiting Admin, and users with access to edit the Job can enter and edit custom fields.

Can I search for candidates by a Custom Field?

Yes! First, Navigate to the Candidates tab:

  1.  In the Filter options on the right side of the page, locate and click +Add Custom Field Filter.
  2. Select a Custom Field Filter using the drop-down. 
  3. Refine your search using the drop-down parameters and select your search criteria. 
  4. Click Apply

Will Custom Job Fields be visible during the Job Approval Process?

Yes. The Job Approver will see the fields entered for each job when reviewing and approving.
