2-Stage Apply Beta with JazzHR

JazzHR is beta testing 2-Stage Apply to introduce a quicker and easier way for candidates to apply to your jobs! By splitting the application process into two stages, we hope to create a smoother applicant experience by sending an email reminder to the candidates that only partially apply.

To enable 2-Stage Apply on your careers page:

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Select Career Page.
  3. Use the toggle to Enable 2-Stage Apply.
  4. Click Save All Changes.

When 2-Stage Apply is toggled on, 50% of your candidates will have the 2-Stage Apply experience and 50% will encounter your existing job application.

Candidates that land in the 2-Stage Apply experience will be prompted in Stage 1 of the application to provide their basic contact information, including:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number

By clicking Continue, the candidate will have completed Stage 1 of the application and be prompted to complete and submit Stage 2 of the application.


If a candidate does not submit their completed application, an email will be sent as a reminder to complete their application. To preview and customize the email, navigate to Settings:

  1. Select the Templates tab.
  2. Click Emails
  3. Locate and select the pre-created email template, titled Two Stage Apply Reminder.


Make any necessary changes to the template and Save Message.


Candidates that do not complete Stage 2 of the application will receive a reminder email within 24 hours. The email will include a link to their partial application for them to complete and submit.  



Frequently Asked Questions

Can I choose what jobs have 2-Stage Apply turned on?

The 2-Stage Apply toggle enables the feature for all jobs. You cannot specify that only some jobs have the feature. 

Will 2-Stage Apply work on my Jobs Widget?

No. At this time, the 2-Stage Apply experience is only compatible when using the JazzHR Responsive Layout
