Integrating JazzHR with Wedge

Wedge is a video assessment provider that helps teams save time, cut costs, and increase the quality of hires through an easy-to-use, one-way video interview tool.

Integrate JazzHR with Wedge to:

  • Automate the addition of video interviews into your hiring workflow
  • Sync candidate video responses from Wedge directly into JazzHR
  • Humanize your hiring process with modern, candidate-centric questionnaires

Set Up the Integration 

First, log into your Wedge account to locate your API Key. Once you are logged in:

  1. Click on your name in the top right corner and select Account Settings.
  2. Click Integrations.
  3. Click Generate Token.

Copy the API Token and navigate back to JazzHR:

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Click Integrations.
  3. Scroll down to the "Wedge" section.
  4. Click More Details.
  5. On the next page, click Connect.
  6. Paste the Wedge API Token.
  7. Click Save Credentials.


Add Wedge as a Workflow Helper

Add Wedge into your job-specific Workflow to automate the sending of video interview requests to candidates. To add a Wedge video assessment as a Workflow Helper:

  1. Go to Jobs.
  2. Select the Job on which you want to send a Wedge video assessment.
  3. Click Edit Job. 
  4. Click the Workflow tab.
  5. Find the stage on which you'd like the Wedge video assessment sent out.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Select Assessment from the drop-down.
  8. Select the email template you'd like to be included with the Wedge assessment.
  9. Select a specific assessment from the "Assessment to Send" drop-down.
  10. Click Add Assessment.

Important Note: This must be done at the job level. You will not be able to add a Wedge video assessment Workflow Helper on a Workflow Template since Wedge assessments are linked on a job-by-job basis. You can also send a Wedge assessment via a bulk action.


Send Wedge Video Assessments to Candidates

Once a candidate is moved into the stage you added the Workflow Helper to, you'll automatically be prompted to send the Wedge video assessment.


You can also manually send individual Wedge video assessments from any Candidate Profile:

  1. Click the Assessments tab.
  2. Scroll down to the "Wedge" section.
  3. Click Send Wedge.
  4. Select the correct assessment from the "Select Test..." drop-down.
  5. Choose an accompanying email template.
  6. Click Send Wedge.


Candidates will receive invitations with a link to complete the video assessment appended at the bottom.

Watch Completed Video Assessments

Once a candidate has completed a Wedge video assessment, the completed recording of his/her will show in the Assessments tab of the Candidate Profile.

Click View Details to watch the candidate's recorded answer to each question.


A Wedge status and results will also appear on each job's Candidates page.

How do I create a specific Wedge assessment to link to JazzHR?

You must create a "Position" within your Wedge account before linking it to JazzHR. Learn more about creating a "Position" here. Once you've created a "Position," compose interview questions that your candidates will see and record answers for after you've sent the video assessment from JazzHR.
