Integrating with BambooHR

JazzHR is proud to integrate with BambooHR to help you and your team to seamlessly kick off the onboarding process for new employees.

By integrating with BambooHR, JazzHR users can easily export Hired candidates out of JazzHR and create employee records in BambooHR.

Connect your accounts

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Click Integrations.
  3. Scroll to the BambooHR block and click Connect.
  4. Enter your BambooHR subdomain - Note this is the first word of your BambooHR URL (
  5. Click Next.
  6. Enter your BambooHR credentials


Export Candidates

Once you've connected the integration, head to a Candidate Profile to start exporting new hires into BambooHire. From their profile:

  1. Click the Actions dropdown.
  2. Select Export Candidate.
  3. Select "BambooHR" from the dropdown.
  4. Click Export.


Note that the following candidate data will be exported to your BambooHR, and a new employee record will be created.:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Address
  • Zipcode
  • City
  • State

Frequently Asked Questions

I've successfully connected my account but am receiving an error when attempting to export candidate(s). How can I fix this?

This may happen for a variety of reasons. See a list below of common errors you may experience.

Common Errors

Error Message Explanation
Duplicate email.  The candidate record (email address) already exists in BambooHR.
The user does not exist.  The account needs to be disconnected and reconnected. (Missing token for   authorization).
Insufficient permissions.  The BambooHR API key was created by a non-Administrator account.
Too many failures.  Too many unsuccessful export attempts.  Wait 5 minutes, then try again.
Unable to export candidate to bamboohr: unknown response from the server: 409  The candidate record (email address) already exists in BambooHR.
